The Scotty Cameron Del Mar 3.5 is inspired by Sergio Garcia. Sergio is well known on the Tour as being a terrible putter. Enter Scotty Cameron.
Sergio asked Cameron to design a heel-shafted mallet with perfect balance. He wanted a flowing neck with no elbow with a T shaped sightline.
Scotty went to the drawing board and what he came back with was the Scotty Cameron Del Mar 3.5.
Sergio got the exact putter he wanted and you can attribute many of his wins with this handcrafted putter. Only 5000 of these putters were produced.
